Reverse description The central field depicts a detailed architectural view of the Oberer Stadtturm (Upper City Tower) of Lichtenfels, a stout medieval stone tower with a domed cupola, flanked by adjacent buildings and trees rendered in fine relief. The legend 'OBERER STADTTURM' arcs across the upper field, divided by the tower's cupola. A laurel wreath borders the design along all eight sides of the octagonal flan. The engraving displays a competent landscape treatment characteristic of German municipal Notgeld token design of the early 1920s.
