Описание аверса	Central field dominated by the elaborate tughra of Sultan Mahmud II, rendered in flowing Ottoman calligraphy with characteristic looped and extended strokes. The coin is struck on a slightly irregular flan typical of hammered billon coinage, with a beaded border encircling the design.
