20 Para - Mahmud II type B

Obverse description	Central field dominated by the elaborate tughra of Sultan Mahmud II, rendered in flowing Ottoman calligraphy with characteristic looped and extended strokes. Below the tughra, the mint name Tripoli West (Tarablus Gharb) and the Hijri date 1223 are inscribed in Arabic script. The coin is struck on a slightly irregular flan typical of hammered billon coinage, with a beaded border encircling the design.
