| Reverse description | The central field bears the Danish royal coat of arms, depicting three crowned lions passant guardant accompanied by nine hearts, contained within an oval shield surmounted by a royal crown, all rendered in fine relief by engraver Johan Alkjaer. Symmetrical baroque-inspired scrollwork ornaments flank the shield on either side, lending the composition an architectural elegance. The denomination 20 KRONER is inscribed in bold raised letters along the lower periphery, separated from the central device by an inner border ring.
