The eagle's breast is charged with a heraldic escutcheon displaying the quartered arms of Lorraine and Tuscany, suspended below with the collar and badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece. Flanking the pedestal are decorative laurel or olive branches. The Latin motto and date appear in the legend, with a mintmaster's mark following the date. |
