| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Holy Roman Emperor Francis I (Franz of Lorraine) facing right, set within an ornamental wreath border. The effigy is rendered in the Baroque portrait style typical of mid-18th century Habsburg coinage. A continuous Latin legend encircles the portrait, citing the Emperor's full titulature as Roman Emperor, King of Germany and Jerusalem, Duke of Lorraine and Bar, and Grand Duke of Tuscany. The legend is abbreviated in the characteristic imperial manner of the period. |

| Reverse description | A crowned imperial double-headed eagle displayed, its wings spread, perched upon an ornamental pedestal bearing the coin's denomination value. The eagle's breast is charged with a heraldic escutcheon displaying the quartered arms of Lorraine and Tuscany, suspended below with the collar and badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece. Flanking the pedestal are decorative laurel or olive branches. The Latin motto and date appear in the legend, with a mintmaster's mark following the date. |
