| Opis awersu | Central field bears a crowned quartered shield displaying the heraldic arms of the Abbey of Fulda, featuring fleurs-de-lis and a cross patée among other quarterings. The date 17-36 is divided across the lower portion of the shield on either side. A princely crown surmounts the escutcheon. The circular legend reads ADOLPHUS•D•G•S•R•I•PRINC•ET•AB•FULD, identifying Adolph von Dalberg as Prince and Abbot of Fulda by the grace of God.
