| Obverse description | Central field bears a crowned quartered shield displaying the heraldic arms of the Abbey of Fulda, featuring fleurs-de-lis and a cross patée among other quarterings. The date 17-36 is divided across the lower portion of the shield on either side. A princely crown surmounts the escutcheon. The circular legend reads ADOLPHUS•D•G•S•R•I•PRINC•ET•AB•FULD, identifying Adolph von Dalberg as Prince and Abbot of Fulda by the grace of God. The coin's milled edge is visible, and the overall design reflects the baroque ecclesiastical heraldic style typical of early eighteenth-century German ecclesiastical coinage. |
