Reverse description Central device consists of a monogram formed by eight interlaced Ls arranged in a cruciform pattern, a distinctive emblem of the Republic of Lucerne, enclosing within its centre a circle bearing the denomination numeral 20. The entire central composition is framed by an octolobe (eight-lobed) border. The outer legend, divided by the date 1741, reads DOMINUS SPES POPULI SUI . 20 1741, combining the denomination and year within the reverse inscription.
