The title "DARLEHNSKASSENSCHEIN" is printed in bold letterpress at the top, with the denomination "ZWANZIG KOPEKEN" in large capital letters below; the numeral "20" appears in guilloche cartouches at left and right. The place and date of issue "Posen, den 17. April 1916" is set at centre, with the issuer's name "Ostbank für Handel und Gewerbe, Darlehnskasse Ost." beneath, followed by three manuscript facsimile signatures and a two-line anti-counterfeiting warning legend along the lower margin. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Printed in dark green on plain cream paper, the reverse carries a large central oval guilloche vignette with the numeral "20" repeated twice within intricately laced engine-turned latticework of floral and starburst motifs. Vertical bilingual legends in Polish and Lithuanian flank the vignette on either side, while horizontal headings in Lithuanian at the top and in a Latvian-script phonetic rendering of the penalty clause appear at centre; anti-counterfeiting warning texts in Polish and Lithuanian are set in two columns along the lower margin. |
