| Obverse description | Light green note with an ornate engine-turned guilloche underprint at centre, framed by a decorative typographic border of interlocking lozenges. The title "DARLEHNSKASSENSCHEIN" is printed in bold letterpress at the top, with the denomination "ZWANZIG KOPEKEN" in large capital letters below; the numeral "20" appears in guilloche cartouches at left and right. The place and date of issue "Posen, den 17. Vertical bilingual legends in Polish and Lithuanian flank the vignette on either side, while horizontal headings in Lithuanian at the top and in a Latvian-script phonetic rendering of the penalty clause appear at centre; anti-counterfeiting warning texts in Polish and Lithuanian are set in two columns along the lower margin. |
