Popis líce	The obverse is printed in green and brown tones, centred on an intaglio portrait of Ivan Franko, the celebrated Ukrainian writer and poet, set against a vignette of the Carpathian mountain landscape. The denomination '20' appears in large numerals at lower left, with the Cyrillic inscription 'ДВАДЦЯТЬ ГРИВЕНЬ' running vertically at right; the issuer name 'НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ' and 'УКРАЇНА' are printed at the top, flanking the Ukrainian trident coat of arms. A facsimile signature of the NBU Governor with the title 'Голова' appears at upper left, accompanied by multicolour guilloche underprint elements and an ornamental rosette security feature.

Popis rubu	The reverse is dominated by an intaglio vignette of the Lviv Opera House (Львівський оперний театр), rendered in brown against a light green guilloche background with ornamental scrollwork. The denomination '20' is printed in large numerals at upper left and lower right, with the text 'Двадцять гривень' in cursive script at upper centre and 'ГРИВЕНЬ' vertically at left; the patriotic inscription 'СЛАВА УКРАЇНІ! ГЕРОЯМ СЛАВА!' appears at upper right. The print year '2025' is shown at lower centre, and a colour-shifting holographic security element is visible at upper right.
