The left half carries a letterpress vignette of a historic corner building with a steep conical roof, rendered in detailed line engraving. The right half bears the issuing authority text in Gothic blackletter script, the denomination '20' in large bold numerals at upper right, and a decorative foliate border motif at upper left. Below the denomination text, a redemption clause in German and three manuscript signatures of municipal officials appear, with the date 'Mai 1920' centred between ornamental rules. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is printed in dark brown on an uncoloured paper ground and centres on a large heraldic vignette of the Wilhelmsburg municipal coat of arms: a fortified tower with an arched gateway set within an ornate cartouche of scrolling acanthus and baroque flourishes. The shield occupies nearly the full face of the note, with show-through impressions of the obverse text faintly visible at left due to the thin paper stock. |
