正面描述 Printed in red on buff paper, the obverse is dominated by a central vignette of Villa Vignati, a two-storey chalet-style building with a pointed steeple, surrounded by foliage and rendered in fine letterpress line work. The denomination numeral '20' appears in a circular cartouche to the left and 'HELLER' in an oval cartouche to the right, flanked by decorative floral borders. The legend 'KASSENSCHEIN' arches across the top in bold ornamental lettering, with 'WEISSENBACH' in large display type along the lower edge and 'BEI MÖDLING' in a smaller cartouche at lower right.

备注

Weissenbach bei Mödling is a small municipality in Lower Austria, and like hundreds of comparable communities it turned to locally printed Notgeld during the currency chaos that followed the dissolution of Austria-Hungary. These village-level emergency notes were authorized under a broadly permissive wartime and post-war framework that gave municipal authorities unusual latitude to issue their own scrip — a situation that would have been unthinkable a decade earlier.

Three signatories authenticate this note: the Bürgermeister Illich, his deputy Hochlogler, and a Gemeinderat member named Klein. That a council representative co-signed alongside the executive officers suggests the issuing municipality was being unusually careful about legal standing.
