DEZEMBER 1920 repeated along the upper and lower margins. A central vignette presents a finely engraved landscape with a wayside shrine or chapel column amid trees and foliage. Denomination numerals '20' appear in framed cartouches at upper left and right, while vertical side panels carry the anti-counterfeiting warning text; lower left and right corners bear signature boxes for the Vize-Bürgermeister and Bürgermeister respectively. |

Below the central vignette the town's heraldic shield displays a mistletoe branch motif. Two historiated text panels in Gothic script at the lower left and right record key dates in the town's history: the founding of the St. Elisabeth church in 1016 and the elevation of Mistelbach to a city by Kaiser Franz Josef I in 1874. |
