| 备注 |
Mauer-Öhling is a small Lower Austrian municipality best known, if at all, for the psychiatric institution that had operated there since the late nineteenth century. The 20 Heller note is part of the Notgeld wave that swept Austrian municipalities in 1920 as federal small-denomination coins all but vanished from circulation — hoarded, melted, or simply never minted in sufficient quantity after the collapse of the Habsburg monetary system. Local printers like F. Kielar in nearby Amstetten picked up the work by necessity, not by specialization.
Three signatories authenticate this issue, which was typical for municipal emergency money requiring visible civic accountability.
