| Description de l’avers | A salmon-pink guilloche underprint covers the entire face, centred by a townscape vignette of Krems an der Donau with a prominent church tower and Gothic spires beneath a clouded sky. Two ornate rosette medallions, each bearing the numeral '20', flank the vignette, with the denomination 'Heller' in Gothic script below. The upper legend 'Kassenschein der Stadtgemeinde Krems a. D.' appears in blackletter, while below the vignette an obligation clause, the date 'Krems, 23. Jänner 1920', and three manuscript signatures with their respective official titles complete the face. |

| Description du revers | The reverse is printed on plain cream-toned paper; a boxed verse appears in the upper right corner, with the notation '2. Ausgabe.' to its left. A central block of Gothic blackletter text sets out the legal terms of the issue, stating that the municipality of Krems issued these Kassenscheine to a total value of 50,000 Kronen to alleviate the small-change shortage, redeemable between 16 and 31 October 1920, with a counterfeiting warning at the foot. |

Zur Linderung der Kleingeldnot gibt die Gemeinde Krems unverzinsliche Kassenscheine im Gesamtbetrage von 50.000.-- Kronen aus. Sie werden von der Gemeinde Krems bis 31. Oktober 1920 in Zahlung genommen und in der Zeit vom 16. bis 31. Oktober 1920 in gesetzlichem Bargelde eingelöst. Die Nachahmung wird gesetzlich bestraft. |
