| 正面描述 | Printed in dark ink on pale stock, the note is framed by ornamental side panels bearing stylised floral and foliate vignettes, with the denomination numeral '20' set within decorative cartouches at each upper corner and the word 'Heller' in matching cartouches at the lower corners. The central text field, rendered in Fraktur script, carries the issuing authority's guarantee legend, the denomination 'Zwanzig Heller' in large display lettering, the place and date of issue, and the signature of the Bürgermeister. | 备注 |
Kopfing is a small parish commune in Upper Austria, and this 20 Heller note is a product of the acute small-change famine that gripped Austria after the First World War. The collapse of the Habsburg monetary system left municipalities across the country issuing their own emergency currency — Notgeld — to keep local trade functioning when coins simply disappeared from circulation.
The Bürgermeister's signature, here from one Steiner, was the legal authentication that gave these notes whatever local confidence they carried. Beyond the parish boundary, they were worthless.
