正面描述 The upper portion of the note is divided into two symmetrical framed boxes: the left bearing an illuminated initial 'H' in a larger typeface as the opening letter of 'Hofkirchen', with the abbreviated 'A.D.TR.' completing the issuer's name, and the right containing the denomination '20 HELLER'. The central vignette presents the municipal coat of arms incorporating a quartered ibex, identified by a caption below as 'WAPPEN PRECHENSTEINER', referencing the personal crest of Pastor Moritz Prechensteiner, a notable benefactor of the municipality.

备注

Hofkirchen an der Trattnach is a small market commune in Upper Austria, and this 20 Heller note belongs to the vast wave of Notgeld issued by Austrian municipalities after the First World War as small-denomination coinage all but vanished from circulation. The Austrian Heller itself was abolished in 1924 when the Schilling replaced the Krone, rendering these local emergency issues worthless within a few years of printing.

Many Austrian Notgeld pieces from this period were printed in short runs specifically for collectors — a practice that became so widespread it undermined the original emergency purpose entirely.
