| 裏面の銘文 | Die Gemeinde Haslach, polit. Bezirk Rohrbach in Oberösterreich, gibt auf Grund der Sitzung des Gemeindeausschusses vom 20. Mai 1920 Notgeld im Gesamtbetrage von 50.000 Kronen und in den Werten von 10, 20, 30 und 50 Heller aus und haftet für die Einlösung mit dem ganzen Gemeindevermögen. Die Gutscheine werden bis einschließlich 31. Dezember 1920 in gesetzlichem Bargeld bei der Gemeindekasse Haslach eingelöst. Haslach, am 20. Mai 1920. J. Mayrhofer F. Mathie Th. Aumeyer G.-R. Haslach an der Mühl is a small market town in Upper Austria, and this 1920 Heller note is a product of the acute small-change shortage that gripped Austria-Bohemia after the collapse of the Habsburg economy. Municipal and local authorities across the region issued their own Notgeld to keep daily commerce moving when official coinage had effectively vanished from circulation. L. Hasse in Linz handled the printing — a regional press taking on exactly the kind of small-run emergency work that larger national printers had no interest in.
Three signatories authenticated the issue: two council representatives and the Bürgermeister, F. Mathie.
