| Beschrijving keerzijde | Printed in reddish-brown ink on cream paper, the reverse bears a letterpress vignette in the upper portion of a neoclassical mausoleum or memorial structure enclosed by an ornate iron fence, set against a loosely rendered background of trees. Below, a block of Gothic-script text sets out the redemption terms of the voucher, referencing the municipal council resolution of 17 April 1920 and the latest redemption date of 31 December 1920. Hadersdorf-Weidlingau was a small municipality on the western edge of Vienna — absorbed into the city proper in 1938 — and this 20 Heller note is a product of Austria's postwar Notgeld crisis, when the collapse of the Habsburg economy left even village councils scrambling to produce their own small-denomination emergency scrip. M. Engel & Söhne operated out of Vienna's 7th district and handled a considerable volume of municipal Notgeld printing during this period, which makes their output identifiable but rarely distinguished.
The Jaksch/Pick reference JPR0326-20 places it firmly within the documented Austrian communal issues.
