The truncation of the bust is visible at the lower portion of the field, bearing the engraver's initial. The surrounding legend reads NAPOLEON EMPEREUR., disposed along the inner border of a fine beaded rim. The portrait, engraved by Tiolier after Droz, conveys an idealized imperial likeness consistent with First Empire coinage. |

The overall design is clean and symmetrical, characteristic of the refined neoclassical engraving of the First Empire period. |
