| Description de l’avers | Central field displays the royal title and name of Muhammad Al-Amin, Premier (First) Bey, rendered in ornate Arabic calligraphy within an elaborate floral and geometric cartouche. Flanking the central inscription are two symmetrical olive or laurel branches rising from the lower field, framing the design in a decorative arabesque style. The Hijri date 1376 appears in Arabic-Indic numerals at the base of the central cartouche. The circular legend around the periphery, also in Arabic script, reads the Kingdom of Tunisia and Muhammad Al-Amin Premier, separated by geometric ornamental devices. The overall design reflects the traditional Islamic decorative arts aesthetic characteristic of Tunisian coinage of the period. |

| Description du revers | The reverse features a bold central inscription ROYAUME DE TUNISIE (Kingdom of Tunisia) arching around the Gregorian year 1956, all set within an intricate interlaced floral and foliate arabesque border composed of acanthus-like scrolls, buds, and stylized blossoms in high relief. The elaborate vine and tendril framework forms a quatrefoil-like composition that fills the entire field, lending a richly decorative character to the design. A fine beaded inner border runs along the rim, separating the coin's edge from the ornamental field. The lettering is in incuse-style raised Roman capitals rendered with precision. The overall composition reflects the Franco-Tunisian artistic sensibility characteristic of coins struck at the Monnaie de Paris during the Protectorate and early independence era. |
