The date 2019 is divided across the lower field, flanking the base of the arms. The legend REPUBLIQUE DEMOCRATIQUE DU CONGO arcs along the upper periphery within a beaded border, while the denomination 20 FRANCS appears in the lower exergue, with the fineness mark 1 oz Ag 999 inscribed immediately above it. |

| Description du revers | The entire field is rendered in high relief with an intricately detailed, antique-finished depiction of the lunar surface, its texture faithfully reproducing the rugged topography of the Moon with numerous impact craters of varying sizes deeply recessed and oxidized in black to enhance contrast and visual depth. The composition occupies virtually the full flan, giving the impression of gazing directly down upon the Moon. The curved legend 50TH ANNIVERSARY MOON LANDING arcs along the upper rim, while the commemorative date range 1969 - 2019 is inscribed along the lower rim. |
