| 裏面の説明 | The reverse displays a forward-facing zebu head in high relief at the center, its horns curving prominently outward and a detailed dewlap visible beneath the muzzle, symbolizing the agricultural heritage of Madagascar. Flanking the central motif are two symmetrical sprigs of stylized foliage. The denomination 20 FRANCS is inscribed in two lines across the upper field, while the Malagasy equivalent ARIARY EFATRA arcs along the lower periphery. The word ESSAI, denoting the trial or pattern status of the piece, appears as part of the lower legend. The reverse was engraved by Raymond Joly. |
