| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central vignette comprises a left-facing portrait of President Andrew Jackson set within an oval frame, flanked by fine guilloche underprint work across the face of the note. The brown Treasury seal (THESAUR*AMER*SEPTENT*SIGIL) appears to the right of the portrait, with the Register of the Treasury signature at upper left and the Treasurer of the United States signature at upper right. The issuing bank's name, location, and the Cashier and President signatures appear respectively at lower left and lower right, all printed in intaglio over a light green lathe-work underprint. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is printed entirely in green intaglio and presents a detailed architectural vignette of the White House viewed from the south lawn, framed by mature trees and shrubbery with a flag visible above the roofline. Elaborate foliate scroll vignettes occupy the left and right margins, while denomination numerals "20" appear in oval guilloche panels at each corner. The title inscription runs across the top and the denomination legend is set in bold serif lettering along the lower margin, with the caption "WHITE HOUSE" appearing in a small cartouche beneath the central building vignette. |

| Opmerkingen |
Saltsburg is a borough in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, with a population that has never exceeded a few thousand. The First National Bank there was one of hundreds of small-town institutions that participated in the 1929 small-size national currency program — the Federal Reserve's move toward a standardized, reduced format that effectively ended the long run of large-size nationals. For a bank this size, surviving examples from any denomination are scarce simply because total issue quantities were low.
Type 1 and Type 2 variants exist within the 1929 series; the distinction turns on whether the charter number appears in the brown seal area. Worth confirming before cataloging.
