Obverse description Central vignette comprises a left-facing portrait of President Andrew Jackson set within an oval frame, flanked by fine guilloche underprint work across the face of the note. The brown Treasury seal (THESAUR*AMER*SEPTENT*SIGIL) appears to the right of the portrait, with the Register of the Treasury signature at upper left and the Treasurer of the United States signature at upper right. The issuing bank's name, location, and the Cashier and President signatures appear respectively at lower left and lower right, all printed in intaglio over a light green lathe-work underprint.
