| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a detailed relief depiction of the Seraing steam locomotive, a celebrated 19th-century engine manufactured by the Société Anonyme John Cockerill in Seraing, Belgium, rendered in left-facing three-quarter profile on rails with billowing steam clouds rising from its chimney stack. The upper legend 'LEGENDS OF THE RAILS - SERAING' arcs along the upper border of the field, while the denomination '20 DOLLARS' is inscribed along the lower periphery in raised letters. The mirrored proof field provides strong contrast against the finely detailed locomotive design. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Seraing is an industrial municipality in the Liège province of Belgium, historically home to the Cockerill steelworks — one of the largest integrated steel plants in Europe through much of the 19th and 20th centuries. Liberia's prolific commemorative program of the early 2000s, produced almost entirely for the collector market by foreign minting contractors, issued dozens of thematic pieces with no connection to Liberian commerce or history. This coin almost certainly never entered circulation in Liberia.
