Beschrijving voorzijde Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King George VI occupies the central field, rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof background. The portrait, modelled after the Humphrey Paget design used on wartime Canadian coinage, displays fine hair and facial detail with the engraver's initials 'HP' visible at the truncation. The circular legend surrounding the effigy reads 'GEORGIVS VI D : G : REX ET IND : IMP:' in raised Latin lettering, following the inner beaded border. The denomination '20 DOLLARS' appears in two lines along the lower arc, also within the beaded border.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse features a fully coloured, dynamic depiction of an Avro Anson twin-engine aircraft in flight, rendered in brown and green camouflage livery with Royal Canadian Air Force roundels and the code letters 'MK-G' on the fuselage. A second Anson is visible in uncoloured silver relief in the background above, conveying a sense of formation flight over stylised water rendered in fine engraved lines. Two decorative scroll banners in the lower field bear the aircraft's name in two lines: 'Avro' and 'Anson'. The legend 'CANADA 2017' curves along the upper periphery, with the engraver's initials 'DO' (David A. Oram) positioned to the lower right of the central design.
