Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse bears the fifth and final effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, sculpted by Susanna Blunt, depicting the monarch in right-facing profile as a mature sovereign at 77 years of age, bareheaded and adorned with a necklace and earrings. The legend ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA arcs above the effigy, with the denomination 20 DOLLARS positioned in the lower field. A distinctive commemorative privy mark incorporating four pearls — symbolising the four portrait effigies that successively graced Canadian coinage during Her Majesty's reign — flanks the portrait, accompanied by the double regnal dates 1952–2022 honouring the full span of her reign. The composition reflects a solemn and dignified tribute to the late monarch, struck in .9999 fine silver to proof standard.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse presents a colour-enhanced central design commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, founded in 1873. A Mountie in full ceremonial red serge dress uniform is depicted in portrait, standing alongside her Hanoverian horse rendered in naturalistic detail with selective colour application. The anniversary dates 1873–2023 appear prominently within the design, flanked by the country name CANADA arcing across the upper field. The initials SH, identifying the reverse artist, appear discretely in the lower portion of the design. The polished proof fields and frosted relief work create a vivid contrast that enhances the colour-applied elements of the composition.
