Reverse description The reverse displays a richly coloured pysanka — a traditional Ukrainian Easter egg — rendered across the entire oval surface of the coin in vibrant applied colour. The intricate design features bold horizontal bands of geometric and folk motifs in red, yellow, black, and white, including stylised eye symbols, interlaced wave patterns, tulip forms, and dotted borders, all characteristic of the traditional Ukrainian wax-resist egg-decorating art. The decoration fills virtually the entire field, giving the coin the appearance of an authentic pysanka. The inscription CANADA·2023 is incused into an uncoloured silver band near the lower portion of the reverse. The designer's initials NK appear discreetly at the lower right of the coloured design.
