| Obverse description | The full shield of the Liberian coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a sailing ship at sea, a palm tree, a rising sun, a dove in flight, and a cannon in the foreground, all enclosed within a decorative wreath. A banner above the shield bears the national motto THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE. The legend REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA arcs along the upper periphery, and the same inscription is repeated on a scroll at the base of the shield.
