| Descrizione del rovescio | A highly detailed, ultra-high-relief depiction of a bank vault door rendered from a frontal perspective, occupying the majority of the field. The circular vault door features a prominent central locking wheel with eight radiating spokes and extending bolts, surrounded by a heavy bolted frame set into a diamond-plate-textured door panel. A secondary locking mechanism with L-shaped handles appears to the right, and the entire door is framed by a thick circular border with graduated tick-marks serving as a decorative inner rim. The word VAULT is inscribed at the top of the field and the date 2023 appears at the bottom, both in recessed lettering. |

Cook Islands has issued commemorative silver under its own authority since the 1970s, a function of its self-governing status in free association with New Zealand. This particular issue is one of the first Cook Islands coins to carry a posthumous effigy of Elizabeth II, who died in September 2022 — meaning the design approval process would have occurred entirely after her death, with the Royal Mint no longer holding any oversight role over the likeness used.
