背面描述	The reverse presents a three-dimensional sculptural rendering, in high relief, of Michelangelo's celebrated marble masterpiece the Madonna of Bruges (c. 1501–1504). The Virgin Mary is depicted seated, veiled and draped in flowing robes, holding a book in her left hand, while the Christ Child stands upright between her knees, his curly hair and infant form rendered with remarkable plastic detail. The entire composition is finished in gold plating, faithfully replicating the monumental character and serene gravitas of the original sculpture housed in the Church of Our Lady in Bruges, Belgium. The shaped planchet follows the silhouette of the seated figures, giving the piece the appearance of a miniature three-dimensional statue.
