| Obverse description | Left-facing effigy of King Charles III depicted in civilian dress — suit and tie — rendered in high relief against a field largely obscured by selective black rhodium plating, which creates a dramatic nocturnal atmosphere consistent across the puzzle series. The legend CANADA · 2025 arcs along the upper border, while CHARLES III and D · G · REX appear flanking the portrait on either side. The denomination 20 DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower arc. The engraved field beneath the plating features flowing linear motifs suggestive of a forested landscape, visible where the silver substrate is left exposed.
