| Obverse description | The right portion of the obverse carries an intaglio vignette of the National Bank of Vietnam building, rendered in carmine-red with fine line engraving. The left field is occupied by a large multicolour guilloche watermark area, overlaid with an ornate lattice security underprint in iridescent tones. Denomination numerals "20" appear in the upper corners framed by rosette guilloche patterns, with the bank title in a cartouche at top and "HAI MƯƠI ĐỒNG" in bold letterpress at the foot. |
