| Beschrijving voorzijde | A draped allegorical female figure, representing the Republic, is seated facing left upon a low platform, her right arm resting on a stone tablet inscribed CENTENARIO DE 1830 in the field to her right. The circular legend REPUBLICA ORIENTAL DEL URUGUAY runs along the upper periphery, while the date 1930 appears in the exergue. The engraver's signature P.TURIN and the essai designation ESSAI are incused along the lower field, flanking the date. The design is executed in the refined Art Deco style characteristic of Pierre Turin's work for the Monnaie de Paris. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A bold sheaf of five wheat stalks, their heads heavy with grain, fans upward and outward from a common bound stem at the base of the field, occupying virtually the entire reverse. The denomination 20 CTS is inscribed in large numerals and abbreviation across the lower portion of the field, with the stems of the wheat sheaf serving as a natural central divider. The design is uncluttered and strongly geometric, consistent with the Art Deco aesthetic of the engraver Pierre Turin. |
