Obverse description Central field dominated by the large bold numeral '20' rendered in outlined relief, flanked on the left by a detailed ear of wheat and on the right by the head of a merino sheep in profile, both symbolising Argentina's agricultural wealth. A horizontal rule below the central numeral separates it from the denomination legend 'CENTAVOS' inscribed along the lower arc. The circular legend 'REPUBLICA ARGENTINA' runs along the upper periphery in raised Latin capitals. The overall design is clean and modernist, reflecting the Art Deco aesthetic prevalent in mid-20th-century Argentine coinage.
