Obverse description Printed in orange and peach tones over a pale guilloche underprint, the obverse carries a portrait vignette of Pantaleon Dalence at right, identified by a name inscription beneath. The bold central legend VEINTE BOLIVIANOS is set below the bank title across the upper panel, with the Bolivian coat of arms as a circular vignette at lower centre; two facsimile signatures with their respective titles appear above, and the serial number is printed twice in the note field.

Reverse description Rendered in orange-brown tones over a pale guilloche underprint, the reverse is centred on a detailed architectural vignette of the Casa Dorada in Tarija, captioned CASA DORADA TARIJA below. A large numeral 20 guilloche medallion occupies the left portion, with the bank title across the upper panel and the denomination legend VEINTE BOLIVIANOS along the lower border; fine lathe-work patterns and geometric line engraving fill the marginal areas.
