Reverse description A grape cluster suspended from a curving vine branch occupies the central field, rendered in schematic relief typical of provincial Thessalian bronzes. The ethnic legend ΣKOTOYΣΣAIΩN (of the Skotouссans) runs around the periphery of the flan, partially visible along the upper and lateral margins. The type refers to the agricultural fertility of the Thessalian plain and serves as the principal civic emblem of Skotoussa.
