Obverse description Brown intaglio print on a pale green guilloche underprint. The central field carries the large denomination inscription DWA ZŁOTE over a fine lathe-work background, flanked by the numeral 2 at lower left. At upper right, an octagonal vignette contains a portrait of a young woman in a traditional Polish headscarf, with the numeral 2 repeated in an ornate cartouche below it. The issuer's name BANK EMISYJNY W POLSCE is set across the top border, the place and date of issue KRAKÓW 1. SIERPNIA 1941 R. appears in the central text block, and the designations PREZYDENT and ZASTĘPCA PREZYDENTA are printed above the two facsimile signature lines.
