| Obverse description | Brown intaglio print on a pale green guilloche underprint. The central field carries the large denomination inscription DWA ZŁOTE over a fine lathe-work background, flanked by the numeral 2 at lower left. At upper right, an octagonal vignette contains a portrait of a young woman in a traditional Polish headscarf, with the numeral 2 repeated in an ornate cartouche below it. The issuer's name BANK EMISYJNY W POLSCE is set across the top border, the place and date of issue KRAKÓW 1.
