| Descrizione del dritto | Cast gold cash-type coin centred on a square perforation, around which four Chinese characters are disposed in cruciform arrangement reading top-to-bottom and right-to-left: 紹治通寶 (Thiệu Trị Thông Bảo), denoting the reign title and the phrase 'circulating treasure'. The raised characters are boldly rendered in standard script (kaishu) against a flat, unadorned field. A plain raised rim encircles the design, and the overall execution is consistent with the refined casting tradition of the Huế Imperial Mint under Emperor Thiệu Trị. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse is centred on the square perforation, flanked by two Chinese characters in vertical arrangement: 二 (two) above the hole and 儀 (nghi, meaning 'propriety' or a unit designation) below, together reading 二儀. To the right of the central hole a radiant sun motif is cast in relief, while the left field and surrounding areas are decorated with eight stylised cloud or floral rosette ornaments disposed symmetrically around the perforation. A plain raised rim borders the entire reverse field, reflecting the auspicious decorative vocabulary characteristic of Nguyễn Dynasty gold coinage. |
