| Reverse description | The reverse is centred on the square perforation, flanked by two Chinese characters in vertical arrangement: 二 (two) above the hole and 儀 (nghi, meaning 'propriety' or a unit designation) below, together reading 二儀. To the right of the central hole a radiant sun motif is cast in relief, while the left field and surrounding areas are decorated with eight stylised cloud or floral rosette ornaments disposed symmetrically around the perforation. A plain raised rim borders the entire reverse field, reflecting the auspicious decorative vocabulary characteristic of Nguyễn Dynasty gold coinage. |
