Four large Chinese characters arranged in the four quadrants of the field read 保大寳鑑 (Bao Dai Bao Chien). The coin exhibits a beaded border running along the inner rim. Two suspension holes are pierced at the top and bottom of the coin, indicating use as a personal ornament or amulet. |
