| Obverse description | Central device comprises a large flaming pearl rendered in relief, with stylized flames radiating outward in all directions. Four large Chinese characters arranged in the four quadrants of the field read 保大寳鑑 (Bao Dai Bao Chien). The coin exhibits a beaded border running along the inner rim. Two suspension holes are pierced at the top and bottom of the coin, indicating use as a personal ornament or amulet. |
