| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing portrait bust of Duke Wilhelm of Brunswick, rendered with fine detail including short hair and a trimmed goatee beard, set within a plain field. The circular legend around the periphery reads WILHELM HERZOG Z BRAUNSCHWEIG U LUN, separated from the toothed border by a raised rim.
