背面描述	Displayed Imperial double-headed eagle with spread wings and feathered plumage rendered in bold relief, each head turned outward and crowned individually beneath a single overarching Imperial crown. On the eagle's breast appears the orb symbol of Holy Roman Imperial authority. The date 16-17 is divided flanking the crown at the top of the field. The surrounding legend names Emperor Matthias by the grace of God, Roman Emperor forever Augustus.

附加信息	Simon VII ruled Lippe from 1579 until his death in 1613, meaning this coin was struck posthumously — a memorial issue ordered by his successor Simon VIII to honor the father who had steered the county through the worst years of confessional conflict in northwestern Germany. Such retrospective thaler-format pieces were not uncommon among the smaller Protestant territories of the Reich, where projecting dynastic continuity carried real political weight in the years immediately preceding the Thirty Years' War.
