| Beschrijving voorzijde | Within a dotted inner circle, three heraldic shields arranged in a triangular composition: two shields in the upper field flanking a central date inscription, and one shield below. The central field bears the multiline date legend recording the commencement of the siege on 7 July and 3 August 1633 (DIE VII IULII ET III AVGVSTI ANNO DNI MDCXXXIII). A circular Latin legend runs along the border, naming the besieging commanders and referencing the city of Breisach (BRISACVM OBSESS DVCT REINGR OTT ET MARCH FRID DVRL). The klippe flan is square with characteristic irregular hammered edges. |
