| Obverse description | This side bears the overstriking die of the Province of Holland, with the provincial name HOLLANDIA inscribed in five bold lines across the central field, flanked by a beaded inner circle. A small rosette or cinquefoil ornament appears above the first line of the province name. The date 1701 is placed below the final line of the inscription. Traces of the underlying host coin legend — the Zutphen Rijderschelling of 1691 — are visible around the periphery, reading MO NO ARG CIV ZVTPHANIÆ, confirming the overstrike nature of this piece. |

| Reverse description | The central field displays the crowned arms of the Dutch Republic — a shield bearing the rampant lion of the Netherlands, surmounted by an elaborate foliate crown. The denomination numeral '2' appears to the left of the shield and the abbreviation 'S' (for Stuivers) to the right, flanking the arms. A beaded inner border frames the central device. The surrounding legend reads CONCORDIA RES PARVÆ CRESCVNT, the well-known motto of the Dutch Republic, partially visible due to the overstrike process. |
