| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a large crowned lion rampant facing left, rendered in the bold, somewhat angular Gothic style typical of late 15th-century Burgundian Low Countries coinage. The lion is depicted with elaborately stylized mane and tail, standing against a plain field within a beaded inner circle. A crown surmounts the lion's head. The peripheral legend in Gothic uncial lettering runs clockwise around the coin, separated from the central motif by the beaded border. |
